Arthur Harrison Cole papers, 1926-1960.

The collection consists of the papers of Arthur Harrison Cole, economic historian and Librarian of Baker Library reflecting his research and professional activities, 1926-1960. The bulk of the records relate to Cole's work with the International Scientific Committee on Price History which chronicled commodity prices and incomes from England, France, Germany, Austria, Holland, Spain and the United States. Cole served as the representative of the Economic Foundation which funded the Committee's research. The collection also includes general correspondence; research project files; speeches and articles on economic and business history, library administration, and related topics; published price index surveys and other published material.
